We have pediatric subspecialists in the fields of pediatric pulmonary, gastroenterology, rheumatology, genetics, neonatology, pain anesthesia. Our faculty are involved nationally on a research and educational level in their own subspecialty organizations as well as with national integrative medicine organizations.
Additionally the integrative medicine faculty at Stanford includes providers with expertise in acupuncture, mind body modalities biofeedback, clinical hypnosis, and mindfulness and plant-based nutrition. Curriculum The integrative medicine faculty have developed pediatric specific curriculum and educational teaching conferences and case conferences to complement the world renown Arizona University Center of Integrative Medicine distance learning fellowship curriculum.
In addition to gaining broad fund of knowledge in pediatric integrative medicine, the fellow has an opportunity to pursue additional training. Uniquely situated on Stanford campus and within a vast catchment area including satellite clinics, you will be positioned to explore your interests, work with diverse populations, network, and collaborate across disciplines. We are working out details of partnership and funding coordination with UACIM and welcome any questions you have as you consider and prepare your application to our program.
Pediatric Integrative Medicine in Residency. The practice of evidence based integrative medicine with children and their families is a unique opportunity because it has the potential to impact the life-long health and wellness of entire communities. The integrative medicine approach can be more effective and less costly to practice than traditional medicine, yet there are too few trained physicians to support the growing number of families seeking more natural treatments. The Stanford Pediatric Integrative Medicine Fellowship Program is the first clinical training program of its kind, yet hosts one fellow per year and must focus effort to secure grants.
